Workshops via the internet
Foofwa conducts dance workshops live via the internet. These sessions are for professional dancers and free of charge. They are part of the "formation continue" (continuous professional training) that his dance organization Neopost Ahrrrt provides. These workshops happen between Geneva, Switzerland, where the dancers work at the Studios 44 and New York, when Foofwa works there. Or sometimes Foofwa conducts the workshop in Geneva with the students (in the same space) but he invites, via the internet, a guest teacher from New York, such as Yvonne Meier.
By extension, these workshops have the potential to be a real pedagogical tool across the globe, used in a commercial fashion or not. It will never replace a workshop given in the same space but it is an additional possibility in the cosmos of dance teaching techniques – like a phone conversation will never equal an actual meeting in flesh and blood, will enable you to communicate nevertheless, instead of not at all.
